Refund Policy

Tuition refunds may be paid when a student pre-pays a portion or all of the tuition for the course session or the program, and a refund is due per the schedule below. Tuition refunds will be made within 30 days of notice of withdrawal. The student will be notified if a balance is due to the University. Tuition refunds are based on the following policies and schedule:

Five Day Right of Rescission

The student has five days after signing the enrollment agreement to choose to cancel the agreement and receive a full refund of any monies paid.  The withdrawal must be done in writing, or personal appearance at the institution, or verified e-mail.

REFUND POLICY: Tuition refunds may be paid when a student pre-pays a portion or all of the tuition for the course session or the program, and a refund is due per the schedule below. Tuition refunds will be made within 30 days of notice of withdrawal. The student will be notified if a balance is due to the University. Tuition refunds are based on the following policies and schedule: (Note: EC-Council University will retain non-refundable items including the application fee, Library Fee, Technology Fee, and a Registration Fee(deducted from class 1 tuition).

Once classes have begun, refunds to the student will be calculated on a per class basis as follows:

Time in Class
Refund Due to Student
 1st Week
 80%
 2nd week
 60%
 3rd week
 40%
 4th week
 20%
 5th week
 No Refund Due

The amount of refund returned to the student is based on the tuition fee after the initial $200.00 registration fee, $200 Library Fee, and the $100 Application Fees have been deducted.  All refunds are based on the amount paid for the current course(s) less any registration fee due. The University will refund 100% of the amount of any overpayment or any future courses where pre-payment was made. The student is responsible for paying any amount due to the University as a result of underpayment.  There are no refunds when the student completes courses or the program in a shorter time period.  Refunds are computed based upon the full tuition cost before any scholarships or other forms of tuition reduction are applied.

For example if a student with the Cyber Security Fellowship withdraws in the second week of their first class; total tuition = $1350, with fellowship paying $675 and the non-refundable registration fee(First class only) of $200. Total refund due is 60% of the tuition: 1350 total tution less 675 Cyber Security Fellowship contribution, less $200 non-refundable registration fee, total student liability for class 1 tuition is 475. 60% refund due totals $285 back to the student.

In the same scenario above except any class after the first class, the non-refundable registration fee does not apply. For example if a student with the Cyber Security Fellowship withdraws in the 2nd week of their first class; total tuition = $1350, with fellowship paying $675. Total refund due is 60% of the tuition: 1350 total tution less 675 Cyber Security Fellowship contribution total student liability for class 1 tuition is 675. 60% refund due totals $405 back to the student.

Request for refunds must be made in writing by the student and mailed to:
