Transferring Graduate Credits
EC-Council  University will accept up to 12 credit hours of graduate transfer credits from successfully completed courses taken from other accredited institutions within the last 5 years. The classes must closely correspond with EC-Council University courses, and the student must have earned a grade of “B” or higher.

Students must provide the following:

  1. Step 1: Submit the Admission Application together with the application fee and a letter stating a desire to transfer university credits.
  2. Step 2: Provide a copy of the course description and a course syllabus with the letter requesting transfer credit.
  3. Step 3: EC-Council University will then process and approve or deny the credit transfer request.  There is no assurance that credit will be granted.
  4. Step 4: Notification of the University’s decision will be sent to the student via email.

Students must request transfer credit for prior university learning immediately upon application to the institution or as soon as the course has been completed to ensure that the students will receive accurate advisement. A student advisor cannot know which transfer credits a student has until he or she submits documentation to the school.

Students may receive a maximum of the following of transfer credit hours:
  • If the student is transferring graduate credit hours, a maximum of 12 credit hours may be transferred as credit towards the MSS program
  • If the student is transferring Certifications, the student may transfer up to four (4)  Certifications as credit towards the MSS program
  • The student can request a combination of course credit transfers and certification transfers, but the combination can not exceed 12 credit hours.
  • Transfer credits do not figure into the calculation of a student’s grade point average (GPA)
